For many children in rural Banteay Meanchey, getting to school is not easy walk each day. Some walk more than five kilometers just to reach their classroom. The trip can make children tired, miss school, or have a hard time keeping up with their education.

A bicycle costs only $65 and it can make a big difference for these children. It makes the trip to school shorter and easier, giving a child more time and energy to learn. To us, it is a bicycle. To a child, it is a way to get to school and a better opportunity.

Wheels of Peace is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to education, mobility, and opportunity. Wheels of Peace is nonpartisan and does not participate in political campaign activities.
